What are you reading?
well I haven't posted my reads in a couple weeks, but they haven't changed much since I've been so busy. LOL
Two weeks ago I went home to PA for a week's vacation and though I took several books with me, I barely got any reading in.
In paper I'm reading Gabriel's Ghost by Linnea Sinclair. I've been working on this for about 3 weeks. it's a good book I've just been too busy for more then a chapter at a time.
In audio I've gotten a little more done. I finished Left Behind Book 5 while I was home and have Book 6 to start. I also "read" two Jude Deveraux abridged books - Temptation and High Tide. both were good though I think I liked Temptation better as it was an historical.
I also relistened to Key of Valor by Nora Roberts before I took it back to the library. I'm currently listening to part one of The Fiery Cross by Diana Gabaldon - unabridged. The entire book is 40 cassettes and part one is 22 cassettes. I just got through Tape 13 tonight. this one will be late going back to the library though since I can't renew it due to a request on the book. So I am just going to have to keep it overdue until I finish it. LOL Next will be part 2. I had started Fire Along the Sky by Sara Donati on CD, but put it aside to get through all the ones I had from the library. So I'll have to start with disc 1 again after I finish all the library books.
In electronic I read a WAY advance copy of Saje Williams' Of Man and Monsters, the second book in his Infinity Earth series. I also read Perfumed Heat by Judy Mays and In the Heat of the Night by Judy Mays. I am starting Midsummer Night's Heat by Judy Mays tonight. I just hope the editing is better in the third of the series. It was absolutely atrocious! in the first two books. I was cringing over how pitiful the editing attempt on these two had been.

Since I ranted about it in my blog post I thought I'd query... What do you think when you read a book with absolutely horrible editing? Does it totally ruin the book for you by pulling you out of the story? Does it make you want to tear your hair out becasue a six year old seems to know more about grammar and spelling then the editor did? Or are you able to gloss right over the errors or even better, not notice them at all? Tell me your thoughts on bad editing and then I'll give my own opinion, FWIW.
